This year at FrenchKit we will introduce two kind of community workshops on both Friday and Saturday from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM:
We will organize practical training sessions we call Classrooms. Every session covers a particular technical subject. For instance, in 2016 we featured classrooms like Advanced CoreData, Basics of BLE, Using Realm in Your App, Understanding Accessibility, etc. We will split the audience in small groups (between 10 and 30 people). For each group, a teacher starts with some theoretical information and then the students work on practical exercises on their own machine. The teacher becomes a coach and helps the students in their experiments.
As a teacher you will pick a subject and lead a classroom.
If you maintain an Open-Source tool or framework and you’re looking for contributors, you can apply for an hackergarten. An hackergarten is a 90-minute slot in which you’ll be able to present the codebase of your project and start coding with a group of FrenchKit attendees.
You will have the opportunity to present your open-source framework/iOS/Mac app and make people contribute.
